DELTA  GAMMA

Do Good.

dg_orig.jpg

The Eta Zeta Chapter of Delta Gamma was founded at UChicago in 2001. Its official colors are bronze, blue, and pink, its flower is the cream-colored rose, and its symbol is the anchor, which stands for hope.

Membership in Delta Gamma brings with it countless memories and experiences which shapes its members for years to come. Consistent with our Founders' thoughts in 1873, our primary purpose is to create an environment for our members in which lasting friendships and our vows of sisterhood emanate all aspects of our Fraternity. We encourage an atmosphere which will foster high ideals of friendship among college women, promote their educational and cultural interests, create in them a true sense of social responsibility and develop in them high qualities of character. Delta Gamma is more than just a collegiate experience; it is a lifetime of commitment, support and opportunity awaiting you.

Our Philanthropy

Our philanthropy, Service for Sight, supports the five schools founded by Delta Gammas for the visually impaired and other North American organizations that promote sight preservation and conservation. This philanthropy has been at the heart of the Delta Gamma mission since 1936 when a member who was blind, Ruth Billow, Eta-Akron, petitioned to adopt “Aid to the Blind” as our official philanthropy.
